Text to scope
How this works: Same "tickets without the holding broker info" pattern SideGuy uses for operator matchmaking. You don't need to know the contact's name to get the intro. You text PJ with your stage / customer-pull / scope; PJ qualifies whether Drata is the right vendor for your situation; if yes, PJ texts the contact at Drata that same day with your context; the contact reaches out within 24-48 hours already knowing who you are. Routing through trust, not through a contact form.
What you actually get with the warm intro
Three concrete advantages over inbound through Drata's website. Real, measurable, time-saving.
- Speed. Direct contact + warm vouch = response within 24-48 hours. Compare to the typical 3-7 day cold-channel inbound queue when you submit through drata.com.
- Routing accuracy. You reach the right person on the right team for your stage — pre-Series-A vs Series A vs enterprise have different Drata reps. PJ routes to the one whose actual scope matches your situation. No SDR ping-pong, no internal re-routing.
- Trust context already established. The Drata person already knows that PJ thinks you're a real buyer (because PJ vouched). That changes the tone of the first call from generic discovery to specific fit-and-scope. Saves 1-2 weeks of qualifying-call dance.
- Honest pre-screen. Before PJ routes you, you get the operator-honest read on whether Drata is even the right vendor for your situation. If your stage / GTM / stack is better-fit for Vanta or Sprinto, PJ tells you straight up and routes you to those vendors instead. No biased Drata-only push.
- Partner-channel benefits. Buyers routed through SideGuy's Drata Alliance Launch partnership may receive a discount or implementation perk via the partner channel — negotiated per buyer based on Drata's current promotions.
The 5-step warm intro flow
From your first text to your first Drata conversation. Total time: usually 2-3 business days.
1
You text PJ (5 min)Send 5 lines: company name + stage · framework needed · customer-pull context · stack at high level · timeline. PJ replies within hours.
2
PJ qualifies fit (15-30 min text exchange or quick call)Honest read: is Drata actually the right vendor for your situation? If YES, move to step 3. If NO (better-fit Vanta / Sprinto / Secureframe), PJ routes you to the right vendor instead — no Drata-bias.
3
PJ texts the Drata contact (same day)Direct text to the person on the team. Includes your context (stage, scope, timeline) so the Drata person walks into the first call with full background.
4
Drata reaches out to you (24-48 hrs)Email or call from the Drata contact directly — already knowing who you are, what you need, and that PJ vouched. First call is fit-and-scope, not generic discovery.
5
You decide independently (no pressure either side)PJ steps out of the conversation after the warm intro lands. You and Drata negotiate scope + price + timeline directly. PJ stays available for second-opinion questions if useful.
The 5 things to send PJ to start the routing
Five lines. Text them to 858-461-8054 and the warm-intro pipeline starts the same day.
- Company name + stage + headcount (e.g., "Acme Inc · Series A · 45 employees")
- Which framework you need first (SOC 2 Type I / Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, all-of-the-above)
- Customer-pull context — is a specific deal gating you on compliance, or is this internal hygiene?
- Stack at a high level (cloud provider, IDP, HRIS, dev tools — quick bullet list)
- Timeline — when do you need to be audit-ready by?
When this is NOT the right move
Operator-honest moat: the page tells you when NOT to use this routing service. Most "warm intro" services won't print this — they want every lead. SideGuy filters first.
- You already have a Drata account-executive relationship. Don't re-route — your existing AE is your direct line. Warm-intro routing is for first-time Drata buyers.
- You're not actually committed to evaluating Drata. If you're vendor-shopping for the sake of it (no real customer-pull, no audit deadline), skip the warm intro — read the SOC 2 7-way comparison instead and decide which vendors to actually engage.
- Your stage / GTM is wrong-fit for Drata. Pre-Series-A budget-constrained buyers with no engineering-led compliance ownership are usually better-fit for Sprinto. PJ tells you this before routing — there's no "Drata at any cost" pitch.
- You need same-day audit-ready timeline. Drata (and every compliance platform) takes 4-12 weeks for first audit-ready state minimum. If your customer needs SOC 2 in 7 days, the right answer is a Trust Center page + a "we're SOC 2 in progress with Drata" letter, NOT a frantic vendor selection.
What else SideGuy helps SOC 2 buyers with
Most of our SOC 2 buyers come back for one or more of these within 6-12 months. Same operator-honest layer, different lane. Mention any of them when you text PJ for the Drata intro.
- Private AI consulting for CEOs — secure, on-prem or VPC LLM stack for ops/data-sensitive workflows. Same Series A-C buyer profile, different pain point. → /services/private-ai-consulting/
- Fractional CTO — VP-level product + technology leadership when you need it sub-FTE. The role most SOC 2 buyers also need. → /services/fractional-cto/
- Custom shareables for outbound — operator-honest landing pages for your sales motion, in your voice, your data. The "bag of laughs" lane. Per-page or per-prospect.
- Vanta implementation — if Drata turns out wrong-fit on the scope call, PJ is also a Vanta Service Partner applicant for hands-on Vanta setup. → /services/vanta-implementation/
- SD operator marketplace — full vetted-operator routing across CRE brokerage, SBA loans, property management, and more. → /services/
Why we surface these here: compliance buyers ARE custom buyers. The Series A-C founder shopping for Drata is structurally a buyer for adjacent services because they're at the stage where multiple things scale at once. SideGuy is built to serve the whole stack, not just one slice. Read the full thesis →
Ready for the warm intro?
Text PJ the 5 lines above. If Drata is the right call, the routing pipeline starts the same day. If something else is the right call, you get told straight up and routed to the right vendor instead.

Honest disclosure · how the referral works
SideGuy participates in Drata's Alliance Launch partner program (applied 2026-05-08). When a buyer comes through PJ's warm intro and engages Drata, SideGuy may receive a referral fee from Drata. That fee comes from Drata's marketing/partner budget, not from your purchase price. You may also receive a discount or implementation perk via the partner channel.
Critically: rankings on every SideGuy page are operator-honest first. The Drata read on /vendors/drata.html and the 7-way comparison page never changes because SideGuy participates in Drata's partner program. If Drata is the wrong fit for you, PJ tells you straight up and routes you to a different vendor — same model SideGuy uses for Vanta, Secureframe, and the rest of the SOC 2 cluster.
The moat is the honesty. Partner status never overrides operator-honest read. Same standard SideGuy applies to every comparison page on the site.
