Co-Founder Software — Custom Built for Your SaaS MVP (North County San Diego)

I'm PJ, in Encinitas. I build SaaS MVPs for technical and non-technical co-founders who need working software, not a 40-page SOW.

Questions co-founders actually ask me

How fast can you get my MVP in front of users?
Depends on scope, but 4–8 weeks is normal for a focused v1. If your scope is bigger than that, I'll tell you straight and we'll cut it.
What stack do you build in?
Usually Next.js / Node / Postgres / Stripe / Vercel. Boring, proven, hireable. I pick based on what your future team will inherit.
I have a technical co-founder but we're stuck. Can you unblock us?
Yes. I do fractional/overflow work all the time — auth systems, payment flows, data migrations, the stuff that eats weeks.
Do you take equity instead of cash?
No. I've seen that movie. Cash keeps us both honest and lets you fire me if I'm not delivering.
Will I own the code?
100%. Your GitHub, your infra, your Stripe account. I don't hold anything hostage.
What if I just need advice before I spend money?
Text me. I'll tell you in one text whether you need me, a different dev, or nobody at all.

Real advice for SaaS co-founders

Cut scope before you raise

Investors don't fund features. They fund traction. Ship the one flow that proves someone will pay, then add the rest.

Don't hire a dev shop for v1

Agencies price for teams you don't need yet. One good solo builder ships faster and cheaper until you hit product-market fit.

Pick a boring stack

Your future CTO wants to inherit Next.js and Postgres — not whatever hot framework launched last month. Boring = hireable.

Stripe first, fancy auth later

If nobody's paying, nothing else matters. Wire Stripe on day one. Role-based permissions can wait.

Write the landing page before the app

If you can't describe the value in a headline, the product's not ready. Landing page → waitlist → build. In that order.

Your first 10 users should hate talking to you

Because you're in their inbox every day. That's how you learn what to build. Automate after, not before.
