Why this page exists

Some people in your life shape the chapter. Garnet was one of mine. We had Chicago years that were the real thing — the kind that stay with you regardless of geography, last names, or how many time zones moved between us since.

Today I caught her LinkedIn — celebrating seven years at ServiceNow, still doing the work she's always been wired for: helping companies find the value already sitting unrealized inside them. That's quintessentially her. She finds the worth in things — and in people.

So I built her a page. Because that's what SideGuy does — we make permanent records for the people who deserve them. Fireworks for the win. Flowers for the spirit. And a public Chicago shout for one of the truly wonderful ones.

I wish we could go back to Chicago and live those days again

Late nights along the lake. Walking out of bars at hours that wouldn't make sense to a calmer version of either of us. The kind of conversations you only have when the world is small enough to hold and big enough to chase. Friends who turned into family. Music that turned into memory.

Chicago in those years had a specific frequency — and Garnet was tuned to it dead-center. She held her own in every room. She still does. The geography moved · the wattage didn't.

Some chapters you don't try to recreate. You just acknowledge them, raise a glass, and keep going. This page is the glass-raising.
