Read this correctly: the scores measure how satisfied people are inside each product's own lane. Ketch's reviewers mostly bought a consent platform. OneTrust's reviewers are running much bigger programs. A higher score does not mean Ketch can replace everything OneTrust does. Ketch's own announcement (Ketch blog, Aug 2026) cites 22 G2 Summer 2026 badges. That is a vendor source.

What reviewers praise and complain about.

Themes summarized from the G2 review pages above and from SideGuy's 7-way comparison. These are patterns, not quotes.

Ketch Consent & data-permission infrastructure

✓ Praised forIntuitive interface, responsive customer support, and setup measured in hours or days. On G2, customer support, ease of use and implementation ease are the most-mentioned positives. Also cited: deep ad-tech and martech consent integrations.
✗ ComplaintsA learning curve on advanced features, and price. Narrower than OneTrust: no ethics or ESG module, weaker GRC depth, and DSAR that is solid but not category-leading.

OneTrust Full privacy + GRC suite

✓ Praised forBreadth: privacy, consent, third-party risk, GRC, ethics and ESG under one license. Reviewers also praise streamlined supplier and compliance assessments. Default on Fortune 500 RFP shortlists.
✗ ComplaintsSetup time and interface complexity. Onboarding and customization often become an engineering bottleneck. Buyers commonly pay for modules they never deploy.

What each product actually is.

Ketch is consent and data-permission infrastructure. It handles programmatic consent at scale, a preference center, IAB TCF / GPP and US state-framework support, and consent signals passed into ad-tech and martech systems. Its Pro tier adds DSR automation, data mapping and risk assessments (ketch.com/pricing, Sep 2026). It fits best with consumer brands, publishers and retail-media or ecommerce stacks. OneTrust is a full privacy + GRC suite. Privacy automation, consent, third-party risk, GRC, ethics and ESG are sold as packages with usage meters (onetrust.com/pricing, Sep 2026). It has the largest enterprise install base in the category. It is also known for 6-12 month implementations and heavy services work. Full OneTrust read →

Ketch vs OneTrust FAQ · quick honest answers.

Based on reviews, Ketch vs OneTrust — which is rated higher?

Ketch. On G2 (September 2026) Ketch holds 4.6/5 across 171 reviews versus 4.3/5 across 154 for OneTrust Privacy Automation, OneTrust's closest like-for-like product. OneTrust's dedicated consent product (Consent & Preferences) has only 16 G2 reviews at about 3.5/5, too thin to lean on. Gartner Peer Insights points the same way: in the Privacy UX market Ketch is 4.7 (31 reviews) vs OneTrust 4.2 (28), and in Consent and Preference Management Ketch is 4.8 (14) vs OneTrust 4.2 (10). Reviews measure satisfaction inside each product's lane, so read them as "Ketch is the better-liked consent tool," not "Ketch is the better privacy program."

Is Ketch cheaper than OneTrust?

At the entry level, clearly yes, and it is the only one of the two you can price without a sales call. Ketch publishes a Free plan ($0/month, up to 5,000 unique users), Starter at $150/month (up to 30,000), Plus from $499/month billed annually (up to 100,000), and custom-priced Pro for the full platform. OneTrust publishes no prices; its pricing page says each package has usage meters and routes you to a quote. At enterprise scope both are negotiated. SideGuy's directional read is that OneTrust enterprise contracts routinely run $100K-500K+ per year, and that Ketch is cheaper than OneTrust on equivalent scope. Those are directional estimates, not quotes.

Can Ketch replace OneTrust?

For consent, preference management and privacy rights requests, often yes. Ketch's Pro tier lists DSR automation, data mapping and risk assessments alongside consent, and Ketch markets a OneTrust migration path it says moves core workflows within weeks without re-collecting consent. It cannot replace OneTrust if you use OneTrust for GRC, third-party/vendor risk, ethics or ESG. Ketch does not compete in those modules. The common pattern is to swap OneTrust's cookie/consent layer for Ketch and keep or replace the GRC side separately.

What is the actual difference between Ketch and OneTrust?

Scope. Ketch is consent and data-permission infrastructure: programmatic consent, preference management, IAB TCF/GPP and US state framework support, and consent signals pushed into ad-tech and martech systems. OneTrust is a full privacy plus GRC suite: privacy automation, consent, third-party risk, GRC, ethics and ESG under one license. Ketch goes deeper on consent; OneTrust goes wider across the whole program.

Is OneTrust or Ketch better for DSAR automation?

Neither is SideGuy's first pick for DSAR-first buyers. Between the two, OneTrust has the deeper enterprise workflow and the multi-jurisdiction coverage, but implementations routinely run 6-12 months. Ketch offers rights workflows and DSR automation (as an add-on on Plus and in Pro), but full DSAR/PIA workflow is not where it competes. If DSAR fulfillment speed is the decision, look at Transcend (engineering-led) or DataGrail (privacy-team-led) in the 7-way comparison.

Which is better for a mid-market company?

Ketch, if the need is consent and preferences with real ad-tech or martech integrations. Published self-serve tiers mean you can start without a procurement cycle. OneTrust is usually overkill below true enterprise scope: mid-market buyers often deploy a fraction of the modules they pay for. If you only need cookie consent plus basic DSAR at the lowest cost, Osano is also worth a look.

How fast can each one be deployed?

Ketch's own claim is that its OneTrust migration process (Ketch Switch) completes within one week, and its self-serve tiers can go live without a sales call. That is a vendor claim, so test it in a pilot. OneTrust implementations at enterprise scope often run 6-12 months with a heavy services lift. Reviewers on G2 list setup time and interface complexity among OneTrust's most common complaints.
