Who qualifies
- Age or disability: SSI "provides monthly cash assistance to eligible individuals who are aged 65 or older, blind or disabled" (CDSS).
- Savings and property: "The resources you own cannot be greater than $2,000 for an individual or $3,000 for a couple."
