How to pay a Carlsbad parking ticket, from the City:

  • Online: the "pay or contest your parking citation online" link on the City's Parking Citations page.
  • In person: the cashier at the City of Carlsbad, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008.
  • By mail: a check or money order, in the envelope that came with the ticket, to City of Carlsbad, P.O. Box 2081, Tustin, CA 92781-2081.

The amount due is printed on the citation.

Think it's wrong? Ask for a review

  1. Move fast: California Vehicle Code section 40215 gives you 21 calendar days from the ticket (or 14 days from a delinquent notice) to ask for a review.
  2. Online: the same "pay or contest your parking citation online" link on the City's Parking Citations page.
  3. Evidence that helps: a photo of the sign, the curb, the meter or pay station, your payment receipt or app screenshot, a placard.
  4. If the review goes against you, the decision explains the next step (a hearing).

Can't pay it all at once?

California Vehicle Code 40220 requires a low-income payment plan. Ask through the City's Parking Citations page, or at the cashier at 1635 Faraday Ave., how Carlsbad takes the application.
