Turkey trots in North County, Thanksgiving 2026

Three North County turkey trots run Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, by their own race pages. Encinitas: a 10K at 7:30am and a 5K at 8am on Coast Highway 101 at D Street, proceeds to the Veterans Association of North County. Oceanside: the O'side Turkey Trot 5K, in waves at 7am and 8am from 330 N. Coast Highway, for the San Diego Food Bank. Escondido: a free 5K run/walk at the Rancho San Pasqual Clubhouse at 8am.

The start is South Coast Highway 101 at West D Street. The 10K goes at 7:30am, the Kids-K at 7:40am and the 5K at 8am. On November 4, Race Roster listed the 5K at $82.23, the 10K at $92.93, Young Adult at $60.83, the 5K child entry at $28.74 and a free 1K Fun Run. San Diego Running Co.'s 5K starts at 330 N. Coast Highway, the early wave at 7am and the main wave at 8am, and finishes at The Strand and Seagaze. Race-day packet pickup is 6 to 9am at Oceanside Civic Center Plaza; the race expo is Wednesday, Nov 25, 11am to 6pm at the Junior Seau Beach Community Center.
